Training Program:

Gynaecology System

This module is designed for doctors who have never successfully completed the Stream 1 module and do not hold this accreditation. Accreditation requires you to attend the session and complete the assessment tasks successfully.

 

The successful completion of the module will lead to the award of Gynaecology System accreditation.

Stream 2 – If you have already successfully completed the Stream 1 module and you want to undertake continuing education, then you are encouraged to enrol in Gynaecology System Stream 2 Module.

Stream 2 modules do not have any assessment requirements, and they will help you improve your proficiency by updating your skills in applying the AMA4 Guides and/or other prescribed assessment methods.

 

Module information

This module covers the parts of Chapter 13 of the Guides that relate to female reproductive organs, including the vulva, clitoris, vagina, cervix, fallopian tubes and ovaries.

The module covers:

  • The approach to using the methodology for assessment of the specific parts of the female reproductive organs.
  • The approach for considering the physiologic differences between pre-menopausal and post-menopausal women.
  • Discussion of key issues relating to female reproduction (including loss of foetus) in the context of compensable injury.
  • Apportionment of Impairment: The approach required to disentangle what impairment may or may not be related to a compensable event.
